My Sinkhole Feb. 15 2025

 

In the place where I live these have been some changes lately. The street is being repaved. Hooray!

I can see a square feature here. Probably a buried valve box of some kind.

There is some evidence that water has been leaking.

Here is a view of that same spot on Sunday February 16, 2025. A small sink hole has developed overnight. The hole extends along the curb for some distance in either direction. The hole is about 20" across at the surface, 8" deep, extends a total of 34" North to South.
